    Cherie & Trixie

My gorgeous friend Cherie has modeled for a few school photography projects I've worked on in the past. One evening as we drove back from a fashion shoot in Joshua Tree she told me about how she grew up with horses and that her mother still owned three. I was floored. All this time I had been using her for school projects and not my Equine photography! I have always loved shooting Cherie. She is a natural beauty who is extremely photogenic. She is a mind reader. Most of the t

    Sydney and Bella

We have not had much of a winter this year in California. It's been very warm and we have only had a small amount of rain, which is abnormal for February. This is why I was surprised to find a beautiful green field next to a some giant eucalyptus trees. It made the prefect backdrop for Sydney and Bella's photo session. As I stood talking to Sydney's aunt I felt a nudge on my back. Bella had decided to say hello which was surprising because I was told that she didn't like too

    Hannah & Peaches

The first time I meet Hannah and Peaches was at Fiesta Island Horse Beach in San Diego. This beautiful, spunky pair really stand out in a crowd. Peaches is a 7 year old American Paint mare that stands 15.1 hands. Here's what Hannah had to say about her poney: "My favorite memory with her is probably when I took her to her first play day/gymkhana. She was still green and young at the time and she did amazing! She always try's her best for me. Some fun facts about her: She love

    Alayna & Diamond

The California sunset did not disappoint during Alayna and Diamonds photo shoot. I loved the way it peeked through the trees in the background. Here is what Alayna had to say about her quarter horse. "Diamond is 21 years old this year. Although she is an old lady she still has a lot of spunk in her! My favorite memory of Diamond would have to be when I rode her completely tackless in the round pen. That was the first time I felt a real genuine connection to her. Diamond is su

    Amy & Cowboy

It didn't take long for my husband and I to fall hard for this beautiful, white gelding, Cowboy. He was such a sweetheart with the manners of a gentleman. Cowboy is a 17 year old, working quarter/curly shire. He stands 16 hands. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. He ponied racehorse's on the track in his younger days and even knows how to let a rider mount him laying down. Although, Amy no longer allows this because of his arthritis. Amy had this to say about her gorgeou
